Mold Removal and Remediation PDF Print E-mail

Every mold remediation project is different, however certain procedures are always performed on each project to ensure thoroughness and its successful completion.

When you think of remediation, think of "remedy."  Each time our certified technicians are involved in a mold remediation project they are attempting to remedy the structure of mold growth and the associated, potentially dangerous effects. This remedy can consist of something as simple as controlling the humidity in a room to as complex as rebuilding the affected parts of the structure.

In most cases only certain areas of a house or building are affected, and often some structural elements need to be removed and disposed of, such as sheetrock, insulation, even HVAC ducting, particularly if it's insulated. More often than not, the structural wood can be cleaned and preserved for future use, but there are some instances where the mold growth has ruined the structural integrity of the wood requiring replacement.

Mold Remediation - The RemedyIt is our mission to stay on the cutting edge by constantly providing, developing, and revising standard operation procedures to improve our services, while lowering your cost. We realize that structures vary in the level of contamination and occupants sensitivity. Hence, our certified technicians provide personal attention to the appropriate remediation strategy before the start of any project.

Remediation focuses on eliminating food and moisture sources. In most cases this is accomplished by a combination of component removal and treatment/ sterilization of remaining components to ensure that no mold survives.

Mold remediation also involves containment of existing mold (so that it does not spread), controlling the air movement, protecting the occupants from mold, protecting the technicians from mold, proper disposal of waste materials and most importantly in-depth cleaning of all affected areas.
